Though not quite as massive in size or reputation as San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con packs quite the punch of its own. Dedicated fanatics flock to this convention from all over the country—and beyond—to get their fill of special collector's items, exclusive screenings, exciting signings and photo-ops, and must-see panels.
While science fiction and fantasy is often seen at the forefront of the NYCC programming, this convention isn't keeping their horror content relegated to the shadows. At the Javits' Center this October 17th through 20th, attendees will find ample opportunities for a good scare.

NYCC Thursday Horror Panels
Seeking Salvation: A Hazbin Hotel Panel—11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Room 405

Based on the book series of the same name by Anne Rice, this television series is a delight of supernatural horror. Join like-minded fans for an advance screening of the first episode of the highly-anticipated second season.
After the screening, the cast and executive producers will hit the stage for a brief panel.

This thrilling conversation with him will dive into his latest novel, Witchcraft for Wayward Girls.
Peacock Presents: Satanic Panic Horror Thriller Hysteria!—5:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Room 405
Peacock's new original horror thriller series Hysteria! is hitting the streaming service on October 18th. It follows a small town in the 1980s that's gripped by the fears of the “Satanic Panic,” plagued by a series of murders, kidnappings, and alleged supernatural activity.
This panel will include appearances by Julie Bowen, Anna Camp, Bruce Campbell, and showrunners and executive producers Matthew Scott Kane and David A. Goodman.
Traction Park Massacre—6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Room 408
In the 1980s, the New York metro area housed an amusement and waterpark called Action Park. This thrilling attraction was a rite of passage for kids in the area, but it had a remarkably concerning track record of ride mishaps, injuries, and even deaths.
Action Park has since been the inspiration behind not only a handful of documentaries, but a number of films as well, including the new horror movie by Adam Dubin And Doug diMonda, Traction Park Massacre.
This slasher film is set in an abandoned amusement park called Action Wonderland, now under the cruel rule of the Terror Twins, portrayed by Kai and Bodhi Schulz of American Horror Story fame.
This gnarly panel will walk attendees through the horrors of Action Park. Guests will include Action Park specials as well as Traction Park Massacre creatives and stars.
