Whether you're an avid horror fan or just a typical child of the 90s, there's a pretty high chance you knew and loved R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series. The original collection (Stine wrote a number of spin-off series, including Goosebumps Series 2000 and Give Yourself Goosebumps) consisted of 62 spine-chilling books geared at early teens. The first taste of terror for many young readers, the series became a sensation, prompting video game, television, and film adaptations. Now Disney+ is diving head-first into nostalgia and bringing us a brand new series based on the books!

The new series focuses on five high school students who unwittingly unleash supernatural dangers upon their town. As they band together to stop these eerie forces, they dig into the peculiar mystery of the death of a teenager three decades earlier. The first season is based on at least five books, including Say Cheese and Die!, Night of the Living Dummy, The Haunted Mask, Go Eat Worms!, and The Cuckoo Clock of Doom.

Show runners Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) and Rob Letterman (Pokemon: Detective Pikachu) developed this project. The cast includes Justin Long (Barbarian), Rachael Harris (Lucifer), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard), and more.

The first five episodes of this 10-episode season premiere Friday, October 13th on Disney+ and Hulu, with one episode dropping every week after.
