Have a craving for a new supernatural mystery to binge? Have you felt empty since MTV's Teen Wolf series—or even worse, Buffy the Vampire Slayer—concluded? Well, there's finally an exciting new series coming to fill the hole in our hearts.
Wolf Pack is a new horror series from creator Jeff Davis, the man behind the Teen Wolf series. Buffy herself, Sarah Michell Gellar, is not only an executive producer on the project, but one of the stars as well.
The show is based on the book series of the same name by Edo Van Belkom. It's centered around two teenagers whose lives change when they're caught in the middle of a wildfire. After getting attacked by a werewolf, they discover they're in the midst of transforming into supernatural creatures themselves. As they develop a deep bond with each other, they also join the pack of two other teenagers, the adoptive children of a park ranger. These kids have their own eerie experience with a wildfire that happened 16 years prior.
Gellar plays the role of Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator who knows her way around the supernatural community. For Buffy fans, she functions similarly to Giles, being an expert on the things that go bump in the night.
Joining Gellar on screen is Rodrigo Santoro, Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray.
Jeff Davis has previously admitted that a big inspiration for Teen Wolf was Buffy, and some of that same magic can be expected in his new endeavor. Viewers can expect to not only see real supernatural horrors striking the Los Angeles area but the personal and emotional horrors of high school. The characters will face the anxiety and depression that many people face today and navigate the complexities of their own pasts.
Wolf Pack will premiere on Paramount+ on January 26th, 2023. Get a first look at the teaser trailer below!
