The creepy trailer for forthcoming VR game Paranormal Hunter is so spooky, I'm still recovering from the chills down my spine. Developed by EALoGames, Paranormal Hunter will be hitting consoles and PC in early 2022. Up to four players will be able to team up as a squad of ghost hunters—and the game will have compatibility with both flat screens and VR headsets. What's even cooler—cross play between the two formats is supported, so friends without VR headsets can still join in on the (scary) fun.
A short—yet deeply unsettling—trailer was just released, offering just enough of a glimpse to freak us the heck out. A character walks through darkened interiors—leaving just enough space for the imagination to wonder what might be lurking in those shadows. Right when paranormal entities and other phenomenon begin to appear, the images cut away to new creepy footage.

The graphics and style might remind viewers of Phantasmaphoria—another highly popular paranormal game with both flat screen and VR capabilities—and horror video game fans are eagerly awaiting a fresh opportunity to hunt ghosts using ancient artifacts and suspenseful clues. Paranormal Hunter draws inspiration from Japanese folklore and horror cinema, so the ghost-hunting premise promises to be compelling for would-be ghost hunters.
Paranormal Hunter is coming to early access in Q2 in 2022—keep your eyes open.
