The Final Ballot for the 2024 Bram Stoker Awards has just been announced, and there are some exciting inclusions on the highly anticipated list.

Among the wonderful titles and talented authors is a Lineup favorite: Stephen Graham Jones.

Jones has been nominated in the category of Superior Achievement in a Novel, for his book I Was a Teenage Slasher.

His competition in the category includes House of Bone and Rain by Gabino Iglesias, The Haunting of Velkwood by Gwendolyn Kiste, Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman, and Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay.

So far, Jones has already been the recipient of four Bram Stoker Awards: the 2017 award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction for Mapping the Interior, the 2020 award for Superior Achievement in Long Fiction for Night of the Mannequins, the 2020 award for Superior Achievement in a Novel for The Only Good Indians, and the 2021 award for Superior Achievement in a Novel for My Heart is a Chainsaw.

The Bram Stoker Awards, presented by the Horror Writers Association, were first established in 1987. The HWA has sought to honor “superior achievement” rather than “best of the year,” so as to avoid overly competitive attitudes in the community.

This year's awards will be presented on June 14th in Stamford, Connecticut.
