It fans everywhere will get to return to the town of Derry, Maine.
HBO has announced they will release a new series this coming fall, based on Stephen King's renowned novel It. The series will be set in the 1960s and serve as a prequel to the 2017 film It and the 2019 sequel, It Chapter Two.
Bill Skarsgård will return in his leading role playing the haunting killer clown Pennywise, this time terrorizing a new set of young Derry children, 27 years before the events of the film It. Skarsgård will also be serving as a producer on the project.
Many of the creators of the It films will be returning to bring this next story to life, with the same terrifying charm fans have come to love.
In addition to Skarsgård, the series will feature Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Rudy Mancuso.
