Numerous film and TV projects have been put on hold in the wake of the pandemic—and AMC's epic zombie horror saga The Walking Dead is no exception. Post-production on the season 10 finale is on indefinite delay; filming dates for season 11 are canceled. Meanwhile, the premiere of TWD spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond has been pushed to the end of the year, and though Fear the Walking Dead season 6 is still set to debut in the summer, Forbes reports that the second half of the upcoming season may need to air in the back half of the year.
And yet, amidst all this uncertainty, there is a glimmer of good news. The Walking Dead has partnered up with the streaming service Pluto TV to deliver the first 5 seasons of the hit horror series to fans for free. As of May 1st, the beginnings of all our favorite tragic romances, brutal battles, and struggles for survival are one click away. And since we’re all locked inside our homes under quarantine, there’s no better time to walk down The Walking Dead memory lane as we wait for the end of season 10.
All of the content on Pluto TV is free to users, as it’s an ad-based service. Both live TV and Video on Demand is available, with a wide array of content—including additional AMC/IFC shows like Comedy Bang! Bang! and Documentary Now. Pluto TV is supported across Android, iOS, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, Roku, PS4, Xbox One, and desktop devices.
You can catch the first five seasons of The Walking Dead on the Stories by AMC channel. Pluto TV kicked off its partnership with a TWD marathon this past Saturday at 11am ET. This marathon is set to reoccur every Saturday beginning at 11am ET.
