The new IT trailer is here, and it gives us a clearer picture of what the new remake will look like.
From the beginning, there were rumors that this version would split Stephen King's IT into two movies, with separate films for the novel's separate time periods. The new trailer seems to confirm those rumors.
We will not be seeing the second half of the novel in this movie. Instead, IT will focus just on the Losers’ Club as adolescents, not as adults.

The new trailer follows the Losers’ Club boys (plus Beverly) as they begin to understand what it truly means to be an outcast—and what it means to grow up. Shots of the club swimming in a quarry and exploring Derry, Maine together give us a clear glimpse of their camaraderie and the group terror they’ll face once Pennywise comes to town.
The grownups shown in the trailer make it clear that they cannot be trusted. The Losers' Club will be on their own as they try to vanquish Pennywise.
Another detail that's quite clear? Pennywise 2017 is sure to spark a fear of clowns in a whole new generation of moviegoers. The new trailer gives us a chilling look at the demented creature, and even gives us a chance to hear him speak. The refrain of Will’s lost brother, Georgie, shouting, “you’ll float too!” makes the whole clip much, much creepier than the first teaser.
It’s got us all in and breathlessly awaiting the film's release. Check out the brand new trailer below.
It will be in cinemas on September 8th.
