Forbidden Fruits is a witty and cutting satire of performative sisterhood and the weaponization of girlboss. A masterpiece of pink horror, this film will delight any Gen Z and Millennial femmes that love the campy and the macabre.

Based on the 2019 stage play Of the woman came the beginning of sin, and through her we all die by Lily Houghton, this movie—co-written by Houghton and director Meredith Alloway—tangles consumerism, internet culture, and WitchTok wellness into a sticky web of jealousy, femininity, and manipulation.

The film follows a coven of witches, all named after fruit, that work for a trendy high end store, Free Eden. When a new hire throws a wrench into their dynamic, tensions rise as their inner darkness starts to shine through to dangerous ends.

Starring the wonderful Lili Reinhart, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, and Lola Tung, this film is brimming with iconic aesthetics and delightfully eccentric comedic beats, sprinkling in moments of jaw dropping gruesomeness.
