“It’s not easy butchering people. It’s hard work. Physically and mentally, I don’t think people realize.”
So says a convicted killer in the opening frames of this trailer. It’s only a taste of the depravity to come in Mindhunter.
The drama is based on John E. Douglas’s book, Mind Hunter: Inside FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit. David Fincher, director of Zodiac, Seven, Gone Girl, and Fight Club is producing and directing—ensuring that the show will be a terrifying ride.
The show follows Jonathan Groff’s character, Holden Ford, based on John E. Douglas, the original inspiration for Jack Crawford of Silence of the Lambs and NBC's Hannibal. Ford attempts to unravel the twisted minds of serial killers and, simultaneously, convince the FBI that his methods are sound.
