Mike Flanagan is at it again. The writer and directer of chilling Netflix favorites like Gerald's Game, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Haunting of Bly Manor is dropping his latest creation, Midnight Mass, on Netflix on September 24. This limited series consists of seven blood-curdling episodes, and the first trailer promises nothing but goosebumps.

The trailer excellently showcases the series's gloomy and claustrophobic locale. Amidst the spine-crawling island we see characters plagued with haunting imagery and doubt. And as the teaser unravels a hypnotic chant of "Why?" the tension pulls so taut any viewer would be ready to snap before they even get a real glimpse at the story.

Hamish Linklater is in the role of the priest, while Zach Gilford fills the shoes of the man returned. However, Midnight Mass sees the return of several actors from Flanagan's previous work, like Rahul Kohli, Henry Thomas, and, of course, his wife Kate Siegel.
