Whether you're looking for unhinged stalkers, evil demons, or cold-blooded vampires, there are plenty of terrors packed into the movies arriving on the major streaming services this month. With an array of pulse-pounding psychological thrillers and suspenseful horrors coming to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video this December, you'll have your pick of unsettling frights.

U-turn (2020)

This horror thriller from the Philippines, follows a reporter as she looks into a string of strange deaths. As she unearths more information about the alleged suicides, her investigation becomes increasingly eerie and unpredictable.

Incarnate (2016)

When a young boy falls victim to demonic possession, a scientist must go into his mind to free him from the grips of a violent terror. A chilling and suspenseful horror movie from the producers of Insidious, The Purge, and Get Out, Incarnate is sure to scare.

Nocturnal Animals (2016)

Starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, Nocturnal Animals is an intense and riveting psychological thriller. With mounting suspense, this neo-noir film follows an art gallery owner after she receives a book manuscript sent by her ex-husband. Dedicated to her, the novel's story is disturbingly akin to their marriage and becomes increasingly unnerving as the plot strikes closer and closer to home.

30 Days of Night (2007)

The perfect horror movie for a cold December night, 30 Days of Night is set in the frigid Alaskan town of Barrow, as its people are plunged into a polar night that lasts for nearly a month. Cut off from others, the town's residents must survive more than just the grueling conditions, when a gang of merciless vampires attack.

Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005)

As if the terrifying evil of The Exorcist isn't a chilling enough story, Dominion reveals the origin of the demonic power that started it all. But those at the site struggle to understand and contain the sinful and violent force they have unearthed.

The Hand that Rocks the Cradle (1992)

In a psychological thriller wrought with suspense, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle follows a young woman as she's welcomed in the home of a family she's hired to nanny. Though initially overjoyed, the family finds themselves on edge as the nanny's behavior becomes obsessive and disturbing, and they quickly learn that there is quite a bit they don't know about the mysterious woman. 

She Dies Tomorrow (2020)

A new psychological thriller that breaks free of the genre's expectations, She Dies Tomorrow is entirely unique. Convinced she will die tomorrow, a woman's fear spreads to others, who begin to feel certain they too will die in a day's time. Written, directed, and produced by Amy Seimetz, the film conveys an ominous mood that will stick with you long after the closing credits roll. 

Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)

Having escaped her abusive husband, a woman discovers that she was never really free from her past, when he begins to hunt her down again. A suspenseful psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts, Sleeping With the Enemy is based on Nancy Price's novel of the same name.

Amazon Prime Video

Anaconda (1997)

If you haven't seen this cult classic yet, Anaconda is definitely worth a watch. With a star studded cast that includes, Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, and Jon Voight, the film follows a documentary crew trying to escape the clutches of the Amazon and its legendary Anaconda snake. At times a frightening monster movie, and at other points amazingly ridiculous, Anaconda is enjoyable for casual watchers and horror fans alike.

Full Moon High (1981)

A high schooler tries to conceal the fact that he has be turned in a werewolf in this 1980s horror comedy filled with nostalgia and humor.

Priest (2011)

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Priest is an exciting action horror movie centered on the waring rivalry between humans and vampires. The long conflict between the two turns personal for a priest warrior, when his niece is kidnapped by vampires. To try and save her, the priest must disobey the orders of the church, and embark on a daring journey against a futuristic breed of bloodsuckers.

The House Sitter (2016)

A young woman housesits for a family while they are on vacation, but when the family returns, she overstays her welcome. Matters only gets worse for the family, as they realize their house sitter is volatile, full of secrets, and, in general, a real nut.
